Blessed with a zest for life and an appetite for carnage, Blutfatyr is a man many would say was born in the wrong Era, a man who would have been right at home pillaging and reaving during the days when the Sea Wolves ruled the seas of Vylbrand. Brought into the world aboard a ship, the indomitable Roegadyn is a natural wanderer (though of late, he has come to admire the hardy lifestyle of Limsa Lominsa under Admiral Merlwyb), studying the combat styles of many different cultures in order to attain ever-greater glories in battle. Despite his lust for war, however, Blutfatyr prefers to pledge his lance to honourable causes, believing there to be no glory in preying upon the innocent.

Rowdy and boisterous, Blutfatyr is a welcome sight at a tavern or any other place where adventurers gather. His intimidating appearance belies a generous soul, as he considers those who have fought and bled alongside him to be as kin, and can be quite protective of his companions.

Curiously enough, Blutfatyr is rather tight-lipped about his own past. Notably, he omits the traditional "-syn" suffix of Sea Wolf surnames from his own, and pointedly refuses any inquiries concerning the matter. Whether this means he is an orphan, had a falling out with his father, or something else, none can say.
