With a pair of large horns in place of ears and scales of bone patterning her skin, there's not really any hiding that Kasumi is far from an Eorzean native. Rather, she is the 'princess,' for lack of a better word, of a small Au Ra village in Doma, and came to Eorzea when 'visions' compelled her to. These visions now attributed to the Echo, she's made it her calling to protect Eorzea and its people alongside the Scions of the Seventh Dawn.
Despite her great aptitude for both the Echo and White Magic, Kasumi is quite shy and modest to a fault, having little faith in herself to get much of anything done on her own. Despite this and her physical frailty, she is usually first to volunteer for dangerous missions, reasoning that their frontline fighters will need someone to tend their wounds, and can be frighteningly stubborn in this. More than anything else, Kasumi is hell-bent on seeing her loved ones safe, hale, and hearty, and is willing to endanger herself to achieve this.
