Présentation

Menhit Saga

Occupying roughly 10 acres of land within a cordoned section of the Black Shroud, the Nkechi House lived a comfortable lifestyle. They were not particularly ambitious but were awarded a small security detail by the Order of the Twin Adder for their long-standing contribution to Gridanian economics and occasional engagement as neutral third parties for domestic affairs.

As the prodigal child of the Nkechi House, Menhit was given a lot of strict attention growing up. She would often sneak away from her home to interact with others from the nearby city-state, in particular a younger Hyuran boy from Yanxia who grew very fond of her.

The boy would eventually become her personal retainer and regularly embark on expeditions to gather resources she might request, the increasing dangers of which he would actively hide from her – until he couldn’t anymore. He was found in an irrevocable state outside of Gridania, uttering words of confession that Menhit could never hear.

Robyn Saga

During a joint humanitarian expedition into Dravanian territory, a flood-stricken settlement which had held refugees from all across northern Aldenard was discovered. Among the survivors was a pregnant Hyuran Thavnairian who died shortly after giving birth to a baby girl whom she had named Adébowalé Robyn.

After her mother's passing, Robyn was adopted by the Ala Mhigan Resistance where she grew under the tutelage and guardianship of a pugilist. Her childhood consisted largely of tough labour and the occasional whimsy with eccentric characters. During her late adolescence, she met Nkechi Hannes; a notorious scholar and master leatherworker whom she began accompanying as he explored ancient dungeons, tombs and mausoleums for his scholarly ventures.

Robyn had eventually made enough friends throughout Aldenard to form her very own dodecarchical free company, called ‘Embers of the Twelve’, that she was proud to call home. Though not long after, she would become obsessed with her parentage and journey to Thavnair in search of her birth father – leaving Nkechi Hannes to temporarily take her stead as FC leader.

So how will Robyn react when she returns only to find that, in her absence, the FC she longingly called "home" no longer exists? Most of her companions now long-departed. Let down by none other than the mentor-figure she trusted and looked up to; Nkechi Hannes.
