Outcast from birth, young Yasha had a difficult history to try and outrun. With his father being the notorious betrayer Shiro Tagachi, the world assumed the worst of Yasha at every turn.

He took up the shield from an early age, deciding that as his father destroyed all around him, he would instead try to protect it. Of course, none cared for protection from the son of the man who cut down the Emperor so he had to look elsewhere to make ends meet.

It was then that Yasha realised, as wanted as he may be in Cantha, he was an unknown in Eorzea, the distant land of adventurers he'd heard so much about. He packed what little belongings he had and took off to find a new beginning and create his own legacy, free of the stigma of the betrayer.
