When life in Golmore Jungle grew too limiting and stifling for Fjenra Yascaret, she left her home and her kin behind to seek new discoveries. As is common for Viera who depart their tribe, she created for herself a new "city name" - and thus, some time later, the newly minted adventurer Fjenra Castanea arrived in Gridania.

Fjenra took to the bow swiftly, but when she learned the way of the bard, she discovered a theretofore unknown talent (and appreciation) for the performing arts. However, it wasn't until she met Troupe Falsiam in Limsa Lominsa that she found her true calling as a dancer. Now she wields the techniques of the Kriegstanz in service to the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, defending the nations of the Eorzean Alliance and the people of the First from threats foreign and domestic.
