Back to the main guide entryThis page is fully updated for patch 2.5x.Here is a rotation for the 40 durability 3* recipes (222 difficulty and 4980 quality, for Lucis tool upgrade).
Cross class skillsCareful Synthesis 2 (CS2), Hasty Touch (HT), Steady Hand 2 (SH2), Innovation (INNOV), Manipulation (MANIP), Byregot Blessing (BB), Comfort Zone (CZ), Tricks of the Trades (TOTT), Rapid Synthesis (RS).
RotationThis rotation works with 388 CP and at least two TOTT. Exact craftmanship requirements have yet to be defined, but 418 to 456 do work. It's a 9 touchs rotation. To get 100% HQ chance, you will need a Good condition on the BB.
Rules1) If your Rapid Synthesis does fail, replace the next HT touch by another RS. Do this until having a successful RS.
2) After Great Stride, whenever you get a "good" or "excellent" condition, jump to BB directly.
3) For any additional TOTT you get (after the latter rule), replace an HT by a Basic Touch.
4) Do not use reclaim on these Lucis upgrade items, Talan will trade NQ version for almost all the components.
TODOThere should be a minimal craftmanship requirement for the rotation to work, or RS + CS2 + CS2 will not complete the craft. This requirement is yet to be determined exactly. 418 craftmanship does work (minimal I personnaly tested). 456 does work too (maximal I personnaly tested). There is no reason to craft these recipes before having Supra Tool, and no reasons to craft after having Lucis tool, so you should be fine.
Instead of baiting it with an "Observe" bait it with one of the Careful Synth 2s, it doesn't cost anything and it wont finish without 2 so it's perfectly safe and saves you the extra tott for a touch.
That's very true, I'm using this kind of bait for other rotations in this guide. Wonder why I did not make it here. I corrected the page, thank you for pointing this mistake.
What happens if we miss the RS? Do we just complete it? In all your rotations, if I miss a single RS, I have to reclaim and try again and it is extremely annoying that you don't include any information or comments about what to do if you miss a RS. It's still an 80% chance of success under SH2
You should cast RS again until you succeed it. That's also why it is placed at the very beginning of the rotation. Of course, that mean you'll have less HT's. I'll add a comment in the rules to point this out better.
Yeah, I found that out a little while after I made the comment, thanks though, these are awesome macros.
You're a life saver, Shana. Never stop being this awesome.
