Origin of your character name?

I spend at least days thinking what to name my character and I ended up deciding the name I'll choose would be a tribute to one of my favorite female anime characters. I sat down and made a list and I ended up choosing Kurumi just because she's that awesome. I love Kurumi for her hawtness and her personality. Also that shes completely insane ;)
here enjoy a video of her!

Mine is actually a combination of 2 characters I had in Lineage II. I had a dwarf tank named Kyriah and a elf mage named Spellweaver.
Another one of these threads. Ok here goes.
Rave: my friends call me this because my name on a hundred different forums are ravemaster47, or haruglory47. The name comes from my favorite anime/Manga rave master.
Glory: last name of haru from rave master. And it fits very nicely in an MMO setting.
Etherrocks has been my gamer tag since 1994 when FF6 came out. So..almost 20 years with one name in every game.
I forgot specifically why it is Ether Rocks, but I'm pretty sure marijuana was involved considering the timeframe.
@Kyriah, Kyriah is actually a super pretty name be awesome if people in real life were named that.
@rave, I kind of noticed your name was taken from Rave Master :P
@Ether, 1994? O_O ancient days. did internet even exist back than? also i am sure marijuana and bacon lube was involved.
@vilentius, yea that name sounds cool :O
I've changed names like I've change clothes. Most of my old final fantasy titles were played as the main character having my actual name, but I've been Redcomet, Fenrira, Astreas, Fenrirus, Master, Tieria, Fenrir, and finally Fenris. I love mythology, and Fenrir the legendary wolf. I used Snow from Game of Thrones. I definitely like Ether Rocks, I wish I could have been more creative in my younger days!
Yumie (友美惠) is my Japanese name given by my parents :)
And its pronounced as You-Me-Eh~ though i do get used to people calling me "yummy" xP
haha I've met a lot of people Yumies that are (Yuu-mii-ehh) none of them played games though
((Kemiko Oyung is a name from a language I created called Larian. Kemiko means 'to linger' while Oyung means 'idealistic or an idea'. Translation of the two would be 'Lingering idea'. I try my best to not re-use character names I come up with and look hard to place them permanently into a particular story as 'their' story. Kemiko found hers here in FFXIV.))
@Kitteh, I was 15 in '94 and yes there was the internet back then granted it was dial-up.

Played so many MMOs and made so many characters that it just pops into my head almost instantly.
My name comes from my love of booze and fat people.
my char name come from Touhou Project , maid of Remilia Scarlet :3 she is just amazing
Mine, Franchesca came from a player I sorted admired during my days from FFXI. Though, I spelled it differently here. And Ridill, well it was an sword that I had always wanted to attain but never did.
Ce personnage a été effacé.
The origin of my name came from a character I created before FFXIV. I made up this name and it means Oh Great God of the Fish. Hehe.
WTF did I just watched on youtube!? is she a sadistic killer rapist or something?
My BLM in FFXIV was named Starweaver - so in some tradition I kept that name for the lil taru now. As this game requires a first and last, I used Denzyne (my favorite D&D character I used to play) as the first name as he was also a mage.
Tokisaki Kurumi is a spirit , the anime is about Spirits "Girls" that create space earthquakes , and there is a guy that have to save them by having a date with them and kissing them to seal their powers , however Kurumi is a spirit that wont fall easily, a second season is coming :3
I was just looking for something dark and slightly sinister. Came up with it on the fly.
The original Indian prince who became budda was skinny not fat I watched the documentary on the history channel
Buddha*
Teirafon:Made up on the top of my head
Strife:...well,from Cloud Strife lol
Milla - Tales of Xillia
Noihara - Omamori Himari
Originally my character's name was suppose to be "Rahul Gran'sherazade" but after saying the name a few times, I found I like the sound of "Gran'sheraz" better, lol.
"Rahul" is arabic and means wanderer and the "Gran'sheraz" is basically a combination of the word 'grand' and the name "Scherazade" - the persian queen who told 1001 tales.
"Merph" is a name I've used since IRC chat in '92 when I was twelve. It's the phonetic sound of my initials, MRF.
I don't usually use a last name but this game required one... so I came up with "Stromgard." "Strom" is the last five letters in my last name (I'm swedish) and the -gard suffix was just to make it sound cooler.

My name should be familiar to anybody into Norse mythology.
Sigurd (or Seigfreid) was the slayer or Fafnir, whose blood made him nearly immortal. His only vulnerable spot was a small spot on his back covered by a linden leaf when he bathed in Fafnir's blood. (Kind of like the whole Achilles Heel thing)
He also possessed two legendary swords, at seperate times though. First Gram. Then Balmung.
