SaturdayAnother good night at work, even though our freight shipment was 2 hours late, as well as it being a pretty big one. I "only" had a couple people working with me this time, and we had just barely gotten everything done. Pretty impressive, all things considered.
And when I got back, I just did a quicky
Gems of War session, running some battles until I had to lay down.
And a pretty good but fairly dead stream today. I started with
Caves of Qud, doing my usual exploration thing. And like has been going on lately, I've also been doing a fair amount of merchant stuff, buying/selling/trading/etc. And a new visitor named
blackmagemain came on and chatted with me for a while. And he seems to be a pretty big fan of this game, racking up around 500ish hours of playtime. Wow!
HoloCure was next, doing a couple score-based "endless" runs, one with
Haato/Haachama and another with
Ayame. And
yangwright dropped by as well. But around this time I was drowsing off, and my knee was hurtin' at this point as well. So I just called it good.
SundayNo Pinball stream this morning. I woke up from my nap and
OW, MY KNEE! It hurt to walk after that, so I figured it'd be best to forego it today.
:(Instead, I started watching a
POSTAL III game movie. It's supposedly one of the most critically panned games ever. And I figured since I'm a big POSTAL fan I thought I'd give it a go. Well, I definitely get the hate! I don't find it to be
THAT bad so far though. I think this has to be one of the first over-the-shoulder FPSs ever. But I guess there's a few things I definitely didn't like about the game, like that the voice lines were too RNG dependent. You'd be a cop, just simply arresting people, and he'd still say stuff like "You thought you weren't going to to die today. Surprise!" And lots of "Buttsauce!" as well. It's also got stormtrooper aim, oftentimes missing, even at point-blank range. But I see that in lots of other games as well, not just this one.
And today's stream was a good one. And it was all Qud this time. I went so overlong on Qud that it wasn't really worth firing up HoloCure. And I did a bunch of exploring, even doing a bit of the main story quest as well. This game has a very interesting way of handling liquids in this game as in, you can mix them (shown in the image above). Not sure how you can play around with this, but I'm sure you can.
And two, the
Flamethrower, my favorite weapon back when I played Guild Wars 2, rocks! It's heavy, and takes up two equipment slots (backpack and missile weapon slots). But, it deals line AoE fire damage and can deal fire damage over time to everything it hits. It can seriously fuck up the environment as well, setting plants/trees/vegetation/etc. on fire, and - never seen in this in any other game I can recall - can turn liquids into gas (acid puddles into corrosive gas, for example), sometimes making the area
EVEN MORE deadly. I fired this thing at some water-dwelling monsters, which created scalding steam clouds over all the water it passed through. And the steam scorched me for about 50 points of damage. Ouch!
Oh, and it was a fairly dead stream though, with just
yangwright dropping by for a while. It happens.

A good Pinball stream this morning. My knee was feeling better, so I went ahead and did one. And it was a pretty active one as well, with
jayhotlaps,
white_wimmin,
vengeancecns, and
Wannabee_98 all coming by for some chit-chat. Always good!
But for the session, it was just
Pinball Arcade again, not really feeling anything else. Did good overall. Got pretty close to breaking the the Top 5 high scores on a fair amount of tables. A good solid one this time.
And I'm still watching POSTAL III, this time starting over and watching "The Insane Path", where you can kill innocents (yesterday was "The Good Path", where you can only kill hostile enemies). But as said yesterday, it's not the most well made of games, but I've definitely seen worse.
