Proper Use of “The Lodestone” Website
Upon using any of communication tools provided on “The Lodestone”, please consider whether the content you post could be offensive or slanderous to others or may be in violation of the Final Fantasy XIV User Agreement or these guidelines. When communicating online, nuance can be lost, comments can be misconstrued, and simple misunderstandings may quickly grow out of hand. So please be sure to take extra care and consideration when dealing with your fellow players.
Prohibited Behavior
Behavior that falls into the following categories is strictly prohibited and may result, without prior notice, in Square Enix taking action including, but not limited to: editing, deleting, locking, or moving the content in question, restricting usage of “The Lodestone,” revoking FINAL FANTASY XIV user status, or banning the Square Enix Account associated with the content.
Posting content that violates the Final Fantasy XIV User Agreement
Posting content that is off-topic or does not follow the theme of the category or thread
Posting “spam,” blank posts, and posts otherwise devoid of content
Making multiple posts containing the same content
Taking any other actions that are deemed inappropriate by Square Enix in our sole discretion."

And not necessarily about destroying the Lodestone, I wouldn't report someone no matter how vulgar or insulting they were. More that the Lodestone is full of rather single-minded people who can't understand anything outside of their own opinions. And a few comments on this blog are a perfect example of that.

Since when is something being removed for being against the ToS considered censorship? More like following the rules.
Believe it or not, there are more people on the Lodestone than our little group of people. And believe it or not, they do have different things they consider offensive than you. How many times do we have to go through this before you understand that? I think a brick wall would get it quicker.
We can go over it forever. Never will I see it as something which can be considered proper conduct. The beliefs of others and what they find offensive are of their own bloody moral qualms which they have a right to deal with in private and not make it everyone else's problem. Something I would think even you would appreciate.

No, what I would appreciate is the Lodestone not turning into reddit/paheal. Which there are rules in place to prevent. And quite clearly those rules worked in this case.
What a fair example, Reddit, the armpit of forums where everyone openly tosses their hate and half arsed formed opinions upon each other. let's look at lodestone however and not forget we have many gone because of a small few whom wanted to treat this place as a hostile environment. Or how close you've come to being removed over nothing. Nothing but words which someone took offense to.
I live a life of a mute and find an unfortunate value in silence. So many conflicts can be avoided with it.
Look at today's media and how everyone's majority opinion over whatever ends up becoming the hot topic of the year and pushed to extremist extents. All because someone could not help but be "offended" and make sure everyone knew about it. Or how opinions were often for the last year alone belittled and forced many to act irrationally when they were told "only one opinion matters, agree or leave."
If everyone kept their hate to themselves and left stuff alone, we would be better off.
As for the lodestone topic. Suggestive themes as well as partial nudity are within the esrb rating and as such should be considered upon the forums. Blogs
The only reason it is far more censored with rules and regulations as you state, is because of parents whom are not managing their own children and what they are looking at. Thus, does it become Everyone else's problem. Because mummy could not say "no little Pete. No looking at that!"
...So you're hating on people who don't keep their hate to themselves and saying that only your opinion matters. You're basically no different than these people that you're hating on.
If this were an 18+ website and this post was banned, then maybe we could have this discussion of what people should or shouldn't be offended by. But it's not. So 18+ content has no place here, and anyone who posts it does so at their own risk.
Pretty much the entire point is that parents shouldn't have to control what their children are looking at on age appropriate websites. You don't go to some Sesame Street children website and constantly watch over your child from the fear that they're going to stumble upon some porn or something.

Personally, I prefer a place where if people thinks something is offensive to them, they bring it up. We can talk about if it is truly offensive or not. What I don't like is, people ninja complaints. If you think you have a point, then speaks up. Don't be a wimp and stab ppl at the back.
ToS here is very fussy, especially compare to what we are allowed to say in game. Sadly, SE is unlikely to change if ever. At the end we just have to live with the nonsense.
My opinion is less then valid as it's likely to be set aside by people whom will willingly give up freedoms slowly, over time.... as we are doing atm.
And if you are a parent not watching your child's content then it is the fault of that parent. That is the truth of being in charge of your children parent, guardian or otherwise. Easy ways to stop it.
And to be honest, the lodestone Should be 18 or over due to the age agreements for having an account in game.

I would say a blog is more personal so maybe the single mindedness you see is because of that.
I realize we have had people younger then 18 here and probably still do. Their parents likely are doing the same thing... not caring and making caring everyone else's problem for them to handle.
That's their choice. I know my children will not have access to the internet till they are at least 12. At my home at least. But that would be within my power as a parent. That will be my choice
The age requirement for the game is 13. So no, it should not be 18.
As for your whole suggestive themes esrb argument, that is incorrect. Suggestive themes would be more like innuendo and jokes. Games with much nudity and sexual themes (like the pictures that were taken down) get rated M.
You need to be 18 to have a credit card to place on the account which is still required despite game time cards. Thus if younger all needs be okayed by the parent/guardian.
And fine if the rating does not say certain things I can not suggest otherwise. Not having it in front of me. It Should by every means suggest all of that.
Still all back into a parents hands, tossing it into ours.
