Her right arm is made out of a special type of magitek, after it was cut off by an incident involving a mission she did with the Sultansguard. However is often glamored to look more human, but can be telled apart by a blue line running down the side.

There's a strange branding is also visable on her left hand, and seems to be a pair of numbers

Background- Born with the echo unknowingly and abandoned as a child for unknown reasons, Runa was originally put in the care of the arcanist guild in La Norsica. However ran away to fuel her desire for adventure. It wasn't long before she was found by the her soon to be master, Ex-Garlean general Sebastian Daios, who trained her in the ways of combat from ranged to melee beginning at age 7. At age 11 at time of the calamity, Sebastian went off to assist the grand companies, taking Runa along leaving her with a small group of adventurers and Sebastian's twin brother adam before being kidnapped as part of a trap set up by the White Raven, along with his general plan of bringing down the lesser moon Dalamond.

While she was ultametly saved, Sebastian sacrificed himself as the two escaped from the battlefield by shielding Runa from an oncoming attack by the garlean forces, with his last words telling her to run and never look back and to stay strong. After the events that transpired Runa lived the rest of her life with Adam and his group of iron workers, who were often harassed by dept collectors, with her often taking it to herself to chase them off by fighting them with the result being her getting in trouble with the Yellow Jackets.

At age 16 Runa left for Ul'Dah to join the Sultansguard and Adventurers guild. In the process she joined a Free Company with her becoming a sellsward.

{Side notes}
-For the longest time Runa can remember, she has had a strange affinaty with aether, specifically lightning and ice based ones. Alowing her take magic damage from those elements better. However exceptions are made when it's of an anti-property(lighting) or used as pierce damage(ice).
