Kaiser was a sharp and intellegent youth born into a wealthy upperclass family. His highclass upbringing combined with the ridicule he received from other children for his difference in status made him develop an emotionally apathetic response early on. He angers quickly as he often blames himself for failure, yet he cares about people more than hes willing to admit.

Fully backed by his family, Kaiser went to the best schools and graduated with honors in advanced medical applications by the age of 21. When he was 24 a rebellion broke out between the country's ruling government and the garlean empire. Kaiser enlisted as an alchemist in the medical corp despite his families adamant protests, a decision that ultimately saved him. The war was short lived and the losses were heavy as garleans forces focused more efforts on the cities than they did on the frontlines. In 2 short years a vast majority of country was razed. The civilian casualties outweighed the military ones and all citizens, Kaiser included, were distraught and disheartened by the garlean tactics.

With his family gone there was little to hold Kaiser to his homeland. He bought passage on a merchant vessal headed for limsa lominsa. The vessel was attacked as it approached eorzian waters, which subsiquently led foreigners travelling aboard to be suspect of conspiracy. The series of odd events to prove his innocence that followed, led him to the arcanist guild's front door where he found that his medical knowledge combined with their teaching of aetheric manipulation would make him an even more formidable field medic. The desire to atone for his self appointed sins and to further help those that may need him in the future, he registered with the guild on that same day. Exiting the hall, registration complete, he bumps into a spry feline with a spring in his step and a dangerous smile. He joins the Heavensgate linkshell at the mi'qote's request, beginning an adventure he could never forsee.

5 years later, Kaiser has travelled all across eorzea battling the garlean menace that once plagued his home and discovering the lost history of the land. He finds himself sitting under the glow of the grand aetheryte crystal in limsa staring at the sky contemplating his past and his future. In his travles he has discovered things he never imagined and forgiven himself for the things he could not control. As he closes his eyes to ponder what next, he is startled by a poke to his ribs. He opens one eye to see 3 young feline siblings, one with bow, one with staff, and one poking him with an axe. They burst into story as they "happened to notice his fairy and are on the way to a cave overrun with malboro and a skilled healer would make a nice friend and its ever so dangerous and would you like to come along?". As Kaiser stands and stretches he cant help but smile at the 3; he agrees to join satisfied that all that he has done and seen thus far, is nowhere near the end.
