The Garlean Empire... The poster child of pure, uninhibited, and grotesque evil. In the days before the fall of the Red Moon: the Garlean Empire sought out power to conquer regardless of form. Being unable to manipulate Aether like the other races of Eorzea: the scientists of Garlemald began to research ways to give Garleans this sought after ability. Through many Aetherochemical experiments and other horrific means were performed: many of their "creations" never lived. However, in a remote part of Eorzea: one group of scientists decided to use their knowledge of Aetherochemical manipulations to conduct DNA binding experiments. Having observed the strength of the Roegadyn, the mental abilities & heart of the Lalafells, the nimbleness of the Miqo'te, the brute resilience & adaptability of the Hyur, the environmental awareness of the Elezen, the stealthiness of the Viera, and the fierce loyalty of the Hrothgar: the scientists attempted to create a Garlean that encompassed all these qualities and then some (including ceratin physical attributes). However, as the Red Moon fell: they would never see the fruits of the labors. In a matter of moments: the world of Eorzea was ravaged beyond words and many lost their lives. In the days following this event and as the clean up began: a test capsule was found outside the walls of Ul'dah by a mercenary. Finding the individual inside to be severely wounded and near death: the mercenary decided to nurse the person inside back to health. After seeing the remarkable rate at which this person's wounds were healing and knowing that such abilities might be feared in Ul'dah: the mercenary back the decision to put this individual on a carriage with instructions for it to make a journey to the furthest borders of Eorzea before coming back to Ul'dah in its regular capacity. As the carriage started back: Jomigi awoke. With nothing seeming familiar and no sense of identity: Jomigi thought of abandoning the carriage. However, as he stood up: a tome fell at his feet. Upon reading the words "You were found and survived to make a difference. Your name was derived from circumstances you were found. Your purpose is clean. Follow your heart, live the adventure of your dreams, and always remember that the Crystal will be with you... always!!" Upon these words: Jomigi found himself suddenly recalling various abilities and talents. Jopmigi then determined to do as suggested, follow his heart, hone his existing skills, learn new skills, help those in need and... Above all... Find those who share his desire to walk in the light of the Crystal. The search for new adventures, new friends, and even family has begun. What will the future hold in store?
