Chuchuru is a Lalafell who was born into an unfortunate household in Lost Hope.

When she was a very young child, her mother died, likely by monetarist exploitation. She was raised by a single father.

Her father managed to escape abject poverty and start a life as a Gladiator in Ul'dah. And Chuchuru has no recollection of her early childhood starving in Lost Hope.

From a very young age, Chuchuru romanticized Magick and magickal learning. And while she learns a little bit of everything, Magick is her first and foremost academic passion. And what she is most accomplished in.

At a very young age she also developed a strong sense of Patriotism for Ul'dah, and in particular for Nanamo Ul Namo. When she was nine years old, before the Calamity, she was able to see the Sultana address her subjects from on high. She was mesmerized by her grace and opulence.

And not long after, her father finally confided in her the details of her family. That her mother died being overworked in mines, and didn't even make enough to proper feed her.

It became apparent to her, that her society and economy were wrong. And that a rich merchant had paid her a pittance and worked her to death. And that Nanamo cared for the plight of people like her.

It was at that point that Chuchuru developed a Patriotic fervor for the Ul bloodline and Sultanate. And a conflict of interests developed, as she was reasonably talented at Magick, and even more so, passionate about it. But now dreamed of becoming a Sultansworn.

Chuchuru, now an adult, is obsessed with Patriotism and Ul Dynasty based honor. She views herself as a human shield for Nanamo Ul Namo and poor people alike. Working class people are deeply important to her.

She is radically Royalist. And is always thinking of ways to undermine the Monetarist opposition to Ul rule.

She has settled for becoming a Jack of All Trades. She knows a little bit of all known types of Magick, though is mostly adept at Black Magic/Thaumaturge, and has less talent for and understanding of White Magick/Conjury. And even less so about the Scholarly arts like Arcanism.

Her first passion is by far to become a Sultansworn. But has only just recently finally convinced the Sultansworn to allow her to become a Paladin. She has a fondness for the connection between the Paladin Holy arts, and the Conjury she has learned as someone passionate for Magical study.

She still isn't nearly as talented with a sword of any kind as she is with Magick. But her passion for the cause of the Sultansword has pushed her to find mastery with the sword as best she can. And the desire to become a shield, rather than a physically flimsy mage.

This had lead to her essentially being a Black Mage, but with a Red Mage side to her. And has thusly not only taken up becoming a Paladin, but the art of the curved blade and of the Red Mage.

But there is still only one true way to describe her, and that is a studious Mage, with aspirations of being a true Polymath.
