Long time, no see, fellow Eorzeans! It's me,
Fortace Coraggio, and I'm back after three and a half years of absence!
Much has happened over the past few years. I quit my old voluntary job, moved home, entered a few annual art exhibitions, entered multiple monthly short story competitions (and won one competition each year) and completed a new voluntary job among other things. I thought I was making a difference for myself and the people around me.
But, shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic began, my life took a turn for the worse when my creativity completely dried up and my mental health reached an all-time low. After I had completed my most recent voluntary job, I felt like I had outlived my usefulness. Plus, having lost both the inspiration and the motivation to produce decent stories and paintings, I quit being a writer and almost gave up being an artist as well.
My motto used to be "I live to create". But ever since my creativity dried up one and a half years ago, I've changed it to "I live to be entertained". And so, I have two things to live for right now: family and entertainment.
Over the months, I've been passing the time with television, video games and even tabletop role-playing games online. Most recently, I retired from a Dungeons & Dragons campaign called "Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage" because I felt like I was making very little progress in the in-game dungeon each session.
And that's when I considered coming back to Final Fantasy XIV! I remembered all the fun I had spending a year fighting monsters, exploring dungeons, gathering materials and crafting equipment, clothes and food. So here I am, ready to embark on new adventures with or without friends! It took me three whole days to update my game to the newest version before playing, but it was worth the wait.
Due to years of inactivity,
La Orden Del Dragon let me go. Thankfully, they're still around, so I might be able to rejoin if I'm able to speak with the right people.
So, here's to new adventures!
