BRD Rotation:
Foe Requiem> Stormbite> Bloodletter> Raging Strikes> Caustic Bite> The Wanderer's Minuet> Empyreal Arrow> Straight Shot> Battle voice> Iron Jaws> Sidewinder> Heavy Shot (x3)> Bloodletter> Heavy Shot> Iron Jaws> Barrage + Empyral or [Refulgent Arrow]> Straightshot> Repeat.
Ballard Order: The Wanderer's Minuet, Mage's Ballad, Army's Paeon.
Priority:
- Critical
- Maintain Ballads
- Maintain Dot's
- Only fire "Perfect Pitch" on 3 stacks.
- Use "Barrage" on "Empyreal Arrow" if "Refulgent Arrow" is not up, Only save "Barrage" for "Refulgent Arrow" if its towards the very end of the fight.
- Save Refresh and Tactician for other players. Most of the time players can replenish their own MP and TP themselves. Such as WHM using "Thin air", AST using "Ewer", PLD using "Royal Blade", or "Sheltron", DPS using "Invigorate" or "Goad", etc. However, after enough time passes they can all find themselves cornered with those abilities on Cooldown, or not enough MP or TP to complete a Combo giving them a replenish. This is when you Use Refresh or Tactician. (Note: Refresh does not effect DRK when their "Darkside" is active).
- Save Palisade for Tank's or Healer's. Use when either is low on health, or if neither have any buff's or CD's left in a troubling situation. Such as a Tank Buster is in cast or the Healer is suddenly attracting aggro.
Optional Abilities: Second Wind, Refresh, Tactician, Invigorate and Palisade.
Other Considerations:
- Do not move around a lot, unless moving out of AoE's. (Especially in POTD).
- Do not stand too close to the tank, or behind the tank. (Certain enemies have frontal cleaves with no AoE warnings, resulting in heavy damage, which the Healer has to waste on healing you instead of the tank or DPSing the enemy).
- Know that the Tank is more important than you. Meaning a good healer will let you die to save the tank, reviving you at a later time, when it is safe to do so.
- Follow given markers. If no markers are in place, kill the weakest (nearing death) enemies first.
- If you do attract Aggro, run to your tank, never away. (melee classes cannot reach if you're pulling aggro mobs away from the group to save your own hide. It also wastes others resources).
- Never pull unless told to. (The tank could be waiting on his/her Cooldowns or the Healers MP to regenerate enough to see you through to the end of the fight).
- Learn to look at the party list for others HP, MP, TP, buffs and debuffs (This will tell you who's in trouble if no one speaks up).
- Be aware of your position and other players. (You don't want to stack on someone else with damage markers, because you were paying attention to only the boss and not your surroundings).
