Interior Design Blog 2.0.0 – The FC Room
I designed my FC room as a space to host guests and conduct personal business apart from my Company. From this shot, you can see the general layout of the room. In the forefront, is the lovely fortune telling booth that I had arranged.
Of course, it may take time to divine the lunar triangulation of my customer’s fate. So while they wait, they may avail themselves of the view of the fish tank above. I personally find salmon-gazing to be deeply meditative.
Speaking of meditation, the sounds of The Mushroomery (Matoya’s Cave Theme) plays throughout the room. I love the Orchestrion, but I swear to my Godess that its boorishly modern appearance clashes with every element in my room. I have it hidden completely behind the furniture. Guests with a keen sense of directional hearing may guess as to its location, but they will never see it--I made every effort to conceal its hideous form.
In Gridania, there is a lovely fountain in the Carline Canopy inn. I sought to recreate its beauty in this combination fountain (shower really) and pool. It is a pale imitation, but I was pleased with the results given the limitations I had to endure.
Finally, there is the compulsory bed. Ironically, I found the tote-colored Oasis Canopy to be a far better fit for the lavender bed room than the Venus flytrap Glade Canopy--which is an incurable puke colored green.
A special thanks to the forums thread regarding furniture combinations, from which I drew much inspiration.
