Well today was quite a sad day for many of us.

*Queue sad going away music*

Many of us who have worked so hard to this point have finally said goodbye to an arm. an extension of our fighting form. Our Zeta weapon. ;A;

For me Longinus was perfect. Set with Max Crit/Det it was my BIS weapon prior Heavensward.

But let me take it back a little bit. Patch 2.28 june 2014, this was the first patch to release atma to novus. Before that time, however, I wielded the glorious Gae Bolg, a fantastic spear at i90 being such a magnificent weapon in the binding coil of bahamut i. I'm unable to find normal pictures of Gae Bolg.. however this will suffice.


August 27th 2014. Marked a year since release!
And this is how far I had gotten..

Atma! Oh what a wonderous moment in the line of working this weapon. Did you know that drop rates were significantly lower than they are today? Like I'm talking I spent a month straight farming ATMA, no raids no dungeons, just fates... damn you atma of the archer.. damn you..
but it was kinda pretty.



Luckily I upgraded to Novus before 2.4 dreams of ice (october 2014)

I even Fantasia'd look at my first room!


Ok getting side tracked.

Come before the new year of 2015 I was able to advance!



I got it! Nexus Zodiac! Wow! what a wonderful weapon, did you see those effects? <3

So what's next? oh right, after nexus came the braves.. those were also dreadful, dungeon drops? what drops? man that left a sour taste in my mouth.. why? well I'll tell you why.. It took me FOREVER like the span of 5 months to get to Zeta.


Once I finished the braves quest line I swiftly mahatma'd my way with those bonuses yielding a FRACTION of what they yield today.

hoo-ray.. for nerfs... so how long was that? was that a short grind? This was my ultimate weapon prior 3.0 and I'm rather proud of the work I've put into it. I'll admit I've always been a collector of ultimate weapons from the old snes days, no matter how arduous the task. I would have my entire party stacked, with only three usable party members. That's why I have to get the ultimate weapon here too!! no matter how many runs, or how many drops. ALL YOUR WEAPONS BELONG TO ME!!!
