An ancient avatar of darkness from the void. His origins are shrouded in mystery, save for his lust for power. Sinth has traveled the worlds, capturing his other parts one after another, eventually even starting to subdue his original in the Source while the seventh Calamity unfolded. After reclaiming his shadows in the Source and the First, Sinth can command the power of 13 of his 14 parts. However, due to the unnatural method through which he performs remerging, merging with any beyond his Source counterpart can only be done for short periods of time in much the same fashion as a Primal summon.

Sinth can be aptly described as a loose cannon. Merciless in combat, he will always be want to slice and dice first and talk later. He frequently allows himself to be suckered into menial and heroic tasks for the sole reason that dealing with the ramifications of killing the person that asked would be far more troublesome than just seeing it done. Also, sometimes they become amusing.

Sinth enjoys amicable relations with all of the other Scions, with a particular respect owed to Y'shtola and Raubaughn. While Alphinaud has become apt at managing Sinth's more maniacal behaviors deemed unbecoming of the "Hero of light", Y'shtola is the only person capable of reigning him in when his mind becomes set on rampaging. Though, even she was not able to talk down his bloodlust once Sinth locked on to Vauthry.
