Soren Balfire was born into a wealthy samurai family in the city of Gridania in Eorzea. From a young age, he was trained in the art of the Lance then He eventually Picked up the Sword and taught the strict code of conduct that governed the samurai class.

Soren proved to be a natural swordsman, and he quickly rose through the ranks of the Gridanian samurai. His skill with a blade and his unwavering sense of duty earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and superiors.

As he grew older, Soren began to question the rigid hierarchy and rigid code of conduct that governed samurai society. He began to feel that the samurai were out of touch with the people of Eorzea and that they had lost sight of their true purpose: to serve and protect the realm.

Determined to be a true warrior and not just a servant of the wealthy elite, Soren left the samurai order and struck out on his own. He traveled the realm, offering his services as a swordsman to those in need and using his skills to defend the weak and oppressed.

Despite facing scorn and ridicule from many of his former samurai comrades, Soren remained true to his own code of honor and continued to fight for what he believed in. His reputation as a fierce and noble warrior spread, and he became known as one of the greatest swordsmen in Eorzea.

Now, Soren serves as a samurai for hire, using his skills to defend the realm and protect the innocent. Though he is no longer bound by the strict code of conduct of the samurai, he remains true to the principles of honor, duty, and self-sacrifice that have always guided him.
