Soothsayer Thereaux is a White Mage and Weaver who calls Ul'dah his home.

Born in Ishgard and growing up poor in the Brume, he was taken into the Scholasticate where he excelled as a student. While bright and studious, he gradually became disillusioned with the teachings of the Church and, as a young adult, chose to leave and find a new path in life. Soothsayer's aimless travels eventually saw him arrive in Ul'dah with naught but the clothes on his back and a few meager tomes - where he soon met the brash Soren Vai, with whom he became fast friends. The pair eventually took to a life of adventuring to make ends meet, prior to the harrowing events of the Calamity.

During his adventures, Soothsayer has seen many beautiful sights across Eorzea, experienced many different cultures and ways of thought, met truly indispensable traveling companions (most notably his fellow adventurers: Ice, Marcus, and Kaizu) and had many a harrowing battle - before, during, and after the Calamity. He and his companions have made names for themselves not just as adventurers, but as Warriors of Light.

Since starting his journeys, Soothsayer has continued to endeavour to become more knowledgeable, hone his skills as a healer, and become someone his companions can rely on when venturing to new lands and fighting ever-more fearsome fiends - with the hopes of improving the lives of his trusted allies, and Eorzea as a whole.

Soothsayer enjoys old books, strong tea, and has a soft spot for Moogles and cookies.
