Zetata Zeta's life has not been that of a typical Au Ra. Abandoned at birth, he was found by a young Lalafellen botanist. Unable to leave Zeta there, the young man brought him home to his wife. Though the couple was young, and just starting out, they quickly grew attached to the child they had found, and decided to raise him as their own, instead of sending him to an orphanage.
It was in these circumstances Zeta first learned of the Dragoons. He heard tales of Ishgard's mighty dragon fighters, and while he didn't quite want to fight and kill dragons, he couldn't help but dream of what it would be like to jump and soar through the sky, lance in hand.
So it was Zeta left home for the City of Gridania, where he planned to seek instruction at the lancer's guild. Though at the time he never dreamed he would actually become a Dragoon, he was resolved to get as close as possible.
Since then he has shared in many adventures with his friends, most commonly those in his Free Company, Herding Cats. It is among them he has found a second family. Though he shall not forget his humble beginnings, he looks forward to the trials yet to come.
