So last night I decided to run some roulettes with Lolo. We did an alliance raid roulette which was my first one and we did good. After that we did trials and got thrown into Titania.
Now I've only done Titania once while running the main story and I know I died... twice. I'm never any good with mechanics so I get very anxious whenever I run trials. Not this time though.
There were I think 4 of us in the party when we queued up for it and we stuck it out even though we wiped like 5 or 6 times. Well a group from Midgardsormr who I assume were running it together like we were decided they had enough and opted out. They were pretty mad too, but there were 2 newbies with us, and we were determined to win. Well we get a new tank and a new healer and a dps and in we go. Turns out we just needed a new team since we beat it without wiping after the new people join.
Today I went into The Howling Wind Extreme with some from my FC. There were 4 of us from the FC, and the other 4 were all sprouts. I knew it was going to be a challenge but man these sprouts needed all the help they could get. One of the tanks were new to tanking, and the other healer had to be new too. We tried our best to walk them through it but some of them were just not getting it. And if they needed help they weren't asking. Things did not end well and it was put to a vote to abandon (cries silently). I've never given up before, but if the majority votes then so be it. I was glad to be out of there, but I really like a challenge. It's the only way I can get better.
This is the first time though in a long time running content like this with new members that other people didn't take their frustrations out on them. I remember being new and not really knowing about the mechanics in trials or even pulling too much aggro as a DPS in certain dungeons and wiping. Been voted out and yelled at a lot but no one ever seemed to want to help me. Glad to see that the environment has changed with a lot of people stepping forward.
