Personnage

Normally I don't have a lot of time to game. Between work, school, errands, chores and basically just everyday life it doesn't give me a lot of free time to hop online. Normally I try to put in at least and hour (maybe 2 if I'm lucky) everyday just so I can do my daily hunts, maybe a duty if it ques up fast enough and some beast tribe quests while I wait. I also like to check the market board every chance I'm cheap and I like to get the cheapest deals.

Well the other day was no exception and every time I came across the market board I just happened to check it just in case (I've gotten some pretty amazing deals when people decide to overly underprice certain items over everyone else). I was adding new items that I wanted but was too cheap to afford so I can check them everyday. Normally when I play, I multitask by eating, doing some small household chores and catching up on school work. Today I happened to be going through some bills and checking my e-mail when my mom called me. While talking to her I was still playing while browsing the market board.

Normally I keep around 1mil of gil on me and the rest with my retainers just in case I find some good deals I don't have to constantly go to my retainers. When I had got off the phone with my mom I happened to noticed that I only had 17,000 gil left. While on the phone with my mom, instead of adding items to my wish list I was buying them.

I called myself some pretty nasty names before I just decided to deal with the consequences of my negligence. The chances of it happening again are pretty slim right? I mean it could have been worse. I could have been in the middle of a duty where others were depending on me and totally got caught up with something else and zoned out (oh wait... I've done that too) But I never made that mistake again.
