Annabel's M.I.N.E adventures: Nidhogg EX

Public

So yesterday we were able to clear Nidhogg EX at MINE level. Yay, another one down!

As I said in my last blog, we started doing it last week and got him to around 50%. This week sadly we lost a member so was short a person. Luckily we were able to get a substitute, but then one of the other members got sick and had to leave. That meant we had to find ANOTHER sub, which luckily we were able to do. So all in all, we did not get too much time on him due to waiting around.

But for the time we DID get on him, it was pretty much trial and error. We were shown the proper places to stand, to move to , and the mechanics for the Nails and Dragons. We struggled at first but soon saw that Nidhogg is actually kind of repetitious in nature. In the last phase he actually repeats the same mechanics, so once you know where to stand and how to bait and place stuff, it's not that hard to do.

So, finally getting our act together, we were finally able to beat him at around 9:45. Since there was only 15 minutes of the static left, we called it a night instead of trying to do Sophia EX, which we will do next week.

All in all, ol Nid was not that difficult to learn, about on the level of Emerald EX. There are only 2 left now in the 60 range and hopefully we will deal with them in the next couple of weeks.

I think I find this almost amusing that almost half the actual views of this are likes. ;p

Kind of sad though it's getting totally ignored, I guess people are bored with my MINE recaps. :(

I'm not sure it's boredom. We've entered an era where the majority of people - not necessarily just the younger generation - balk at the idea of reading much more than a text or a tweet. It's not great for people who enjoy writing stories, but I would say, since it's something you seem to enjoy, keep at it, no matter what the viewer count says. Somebody will read and appreciate your work - even if they don't say so.

I read an article on a writing website about this and yeah, it's a real struggle nowadays for budding writers.

Only those who are truly passionate about it read anymore, most want the 'bite-sized' chunks blogs, tritter, texts, and the internet can offer.

Todays writers either need to adapt to that or go mostly unnoticed unless they can drum up a following of dedicated fans.
