Part 2:


That finally over, Emet asked if I finally now understood what he was trying to achieve for his people. I just looked at him and said......."um.....not really. I just see you want to bring back a race of REALLY tall things who just LOVE to stick people in long lines to wait on stuff. Oh and by the way, have really BAD fashion; I mean seriously, WHAT is up with those black robes ALL the time? "

MDP: "Wait, you ACTUALLY said that to him?"
Minnie: (sighs) "To my deep regret, she actually did." (shakes head) "Why Mother, why her?"
Anna: "Oh come ON, it was a GOOD observation and question. Really, you DON'T want to know? "
Minnie: "No Annabel, I DON'T want to know"
Anna: "Considering your fashion choices Minnie, I am NOT surprised. Me on the other hand, I CARE about any future conquering race's fashions; I mean they might be making ME wear them!"
MDP: "wow" "Minfilia, I think I am beginning to see your point about her."
Minnie: "You mean just NOW?........"

Well delightful duo, it seemed Emet did not appropriate my witty observations about his race and decided to try and get rid of me for good. Oh I and my lackey fodder, (aka: Scions), were able to hold him back, but we were also wayyyy too weak to deal with him ourselves. Well, as you can imagine, this was NOT good since, you know, there was no one else around to help us. Ugh, was this finally the end? Were the Asicans going to prevail and spread their AWFUL fashion choices to people everywhere?

And of course there was the whole Light thing still messing me up. Yeah, it got to be TOO much and I passed out, thankful I would not see the end of the fashion world as I knew it. But it seemed that I was NOT alone. Ardbert was there somehow with me, this strange spirit that had been giving me strength all through this ordeal, now once more gave me his strength again, fusing with me, allowing me to endure the Light and rise once more.

As you can imagine, I was kind of pissed off about this. I FINALLY got a chance to rest and once more, SOMEONE interferes with it UGH!

Minnie: "Annabel, you CAN'T be serious!"
Anna: :Yes I am Minnie; rest is sooooo hard to come by for a Warrior of Light, I want it wherever I can get it and something ALWAYS stops it!"
Minnie: ".....I .........I....."
MDP: "I think you got her again Girl"
Anna: "Won't last, it NEVER does."

So rest interrupted, I just groaned, sighed, secretly thanked Ardbert for saving the fashion industry, and got to work trying to figure out just how the hell I was going to defeat this guy. Well lucky for me it seemed that the Exarch,(who had been kidnapped, remember?) still had some of his power, and was able to somehow summon heroes from other worlds to help me. Unfortunately, ONE of those people just happened to be my wife Aria, who was NOT happy about having her crafting session ruined. I will tell you sisters, she REALLY let me have it; and the whole group, including Emet, had to wait a good 20 minutes for her to stop bitching at me about it.

(I mean Emet COULD have attacked us while this was going on, but I think he was rather amused at the while thing.)

Finally with Aria running out of steam and resigned to her fate of helping out her poor trophy wife out of ANOTHER mess, we got to work trying to deal with Emet, who by the way had transformed himself into this HUGE deamon like monstrosity. Sigh, WHY don't these villains EVER make it easy for me! The first IS the WORST!!!!!


With the added help from the otherworldly heroes, we were able to defeat Emet and destroy his soul, saving the FIrst, the other worlds, and pretty much everything from eternal black outfit wearing. Yay me!

Minnie: "You save the worlds and THAT'S what you care about most Annabel?"
Anna: "Priorities Minfilia dear."
Minnie: "Ugh......."

Just before he faded away though, Ol Emet appeared to me with a look of utter surprise on his pale face, saying. "I can't believe I got beat by a ditzy Blonde who wears that Gods-awful bright color all the time. Now my dream of an all black wearing world, not to mention recreation of my God is foiled!"

I just smiled my most winning smile and said, "well, you're just one of many Honey, say hi to your friends for me," and with that, I waved goodbye as he disappeared.

Afterwards, Ardbert too said his farewells to me.. The battle used up all the Light within me so I was more or less back to normal, which is a GOOD thing Alea! He was glad I was ok, and I thanked him for all of his help and told him he was now redeemed in my eyes as well as everyone else. This made him glad and he vanished with a smile on his face. You know sisters, I think I will actually MISS that spirit. Now if only ANOTHER one would do the same, but I don't see THAT happening anytime soon, sigh.

Minnie: "Believe me Annabel I sooooo wish the same, but as long as you are you, you're stuck with me for who knows HOW long."
Anna: "Damn it Minnie, STOP reminding me!"

As for my wife, well after she saw what I had to deal with, she was a BIT more understanding of my plight and promised not to change the locks on the house THIS time for being gone so long without telling her where I was. She also told me that if I did not get home soon, she would convert my rooms into new crafting and material storage areas and sell ALL my outfits! See, and THIS is what I get for trying to save other worlds!

So, Emet dead, Ascian plot foiled, Lightbringers all dead and the First freed from the Light. So you know what THAT means, PARTY time, YAY!

There was a big celebration at the Crystarium to celebrate our various victories and to just have FUN for once. I was praised and adored, which I SHOULD be ALL the time, and basked in all the glory of it. Hey, after all the crap I went through here it was about time I got SOME benefit from it. People from all the lands came for the fun, even the Fey; there was NO way I was going to let Queen Feo bitch at me again for leaving her out of something. (Though she WAS kind of miffed she was not there for the end battle with Emet.)

But, as it always is, it was not over yet sisters. For you see, because the Exarch's plan got messed up, the Scions were stuck in the First unable to return home. This was a real pickle and one which would have to be figured out soon or they would be in trouble because of the whole Aether thing, (Which I am TOO tired from all the partying to talk about here, sorry Alea!)

Speaking of tired, I will end this here so I can rest some. Even though I won, a heroine's work is NEVER done and I am SURE someone can't wait to stick me with some mind numbing task as soon as they are able to. I will tell you sisters, even though it is nice being praised and adored, being the one everyone relies on really, REALLY sucks at times!

MDP: "Yes, that IS one of the great mysteries of the realms, how you keep winning all the time."
Anna: "I know right? I'm telling you Dragon, my luck's gotta run out some time."
Minnie: "Annabel, you win because of the support of Hydaelyn and your companions, not to mention us."
Anna: "YOU? Ha! Believe me Minnie, I win despite you two's 'help' nor to mention those brainwashed former lackeys of yours."
Minnie: "Annabel! You ungrateful little......"
MDP: "Ok, quiet both of you, I'd rather NOT have the Crystal butt in to settle yet ANOTHER argument between you two."
Anna: ".....um....good point....."(looks at Minnie) "Truce?"
Minnie: (sighs) "For now Annabel, but I WILL be watching your actions, so behave yourself." (pops out)
Anna: "Ugh, I am telling you Dragon, it will NEVER end, even after I win, just you wait and see!"
MDP: "Do you know how terrible that sounds to a being who lives for a loooooong time?"
Anna: "It's ALWAYS about you isn't it?"
MDP: "yes, yes it is"



Well, there you go, FINALLY, the end of the Shadowbringers expansion. Yeah, it was a really LONG time coming and a mistake playing though the last part without stopping to write up sections. I have learned my lesson; anything new I will take my time and write it as I am playing it. (Sorry dear friends who want me to do things with them.)

Good news is that patch one and two are already written up, I just need to read through them again to make sure they flow with the story since they were both written months ago when the patches came out.
I also know I REALLY need to do another Modern Girl story, the last one was before I took my break back at the end of May.

Before I release the patch stuff though, I think I need to do a serious journal entry too, tying everything up and giving Annabel's thoughts on what happened with Emet.
