The strange pattern I have seen as a Class player is the Bleeding of Roles in Jobs. This confuses me. It is to my understanding that Tanks are to be the walls seperating mobs from members, DPS are pure muscle that dictate the pace of battle, and that Healers simply relieve wounds and remove ailments. Nowadays, it's common to see a Healer overly DPS, neglecting their duties in keeping members alive, or Tanks actually Curing in battle, rather than focus on Defense, or DPS even taking on TANKING responsibilities. I fear that this precedence could cause problems in future content as the Roles that were once clearly defined are lost to us, and confusion on who does what will arise...I hope this is not the case, but with such content as Deep Dungeon entering the fray, that bleeding may not stop.
If you see tanks using Cure or dps tanking, that has nothing to do with people trying to do multiple roles. That's just bad tanks.
If you see a DPS or Healer tanking ( ie: running ahead to pull extra mobs ), and the tank is at the very least competent at doing their job it is your GOD given responsibility to stop /sit then /laugh as said dps/healer suffers a slow excruciating death. For an added enjoyment a few cheers before they die will provide the needed teamwork encouragement they were dying for.
Apologies for the late response. Sadly, I cannot do that as a Class Player, especially as a Tank. The expectation is that I cover the same ground as PLD/WAR/DRK. Therefore, while it can be a challenge, it is required of me to be able to handle those types of players.
